Cosy Pub in Ditchling

Phil & the team can’t wait to welcome you to our oh-so-cosy, olde-worlde pub.

Our 500-year-old pub is set in the very heart of Ditchling – which is a picture-postcard, pretty little chocolate box village with impressive South Downs views and rustic charm by the bucket-load. The epitome of a Sussex country inn, we have six hideaway bedrooms, which are perfect for weekend breaks, and for those who want to be close to Brighton (without the hustle-and-bustle)

Our bar is full-to-the-rafters with local ales (yes – we proudly serve Harvey’s) cool craft-y beers, regularly changing cocktails, and some cork-poppingly good wines from around the world.

You’re going to love our food too. Head Chef Henri cooks up a storm in the kitchen, and loves whipping up piled-high-plates of comfort food. From your favourite pub classics – such as crispy fish & chips, hearty pies, and banging bangers & mash – to our specials, showcasing local produce. Oh, and our Sunday roast is blooming lovely too (if we do say so ourselves)

Make yourself at home at The Bull.

Cosy Nights Stay

Our bedrooms are perfect for day-dreaming and late-breakfasting.

Our Cosy Nights Stay pub & rooms package is perfect for two no-alarm-set nights, a meal in the pub, breakfast each morning, and a winter cocktail as the most warming welcome (a Glenfiddich Winter Buck or Hendrick’s Spiced G&T with Fever-Tree Tonic)

From just £339 for two people. 1st October 2023 – 30th March 2024 (excl. December)

Reasons to Roast

Sunday roast-ing is a big part of British culture and there’s lots to love about it.

Is it is the not-so-humble crumble? Bottomless gravy? As many Yorkshire puds as you can handle?

We’ve managed to jot down just five of our top reasons for you to tuck-into an all-guns-blazing roast this Sunday.
