With six boutique bedrooms just upstairs, your guests haven’t got far to go to rest their weary head after an evening of partying. Our wonderful breakfast host Philo will host you for a Full English (and a strong cuppa) to set you up again the next day.

Perfect for family meals (large or small) our Cook House and restaurant space is a light, bright and cosy space. With loads of natural daylight and little pops of colour, this space is perfect for intimate gatherings, or larger casual lunches with friends.

The Cook House can be closed off with bi-fold doors, making it spot-on for more private dinners. We have a TV too, so it is ideal for meetings as well.

Big Birthday Lunch

I had a lovely big birthday lunch with all my family at The Bull. We had our own cosy area by a big fire place, the best food and service. Also a play area in the garden for the kids. Lots of choice including all the pub classics so everyone happy. Highly recommend. Thank you to everyone at the Bull for making it so special.

Fantastic Family Get Together

I booked for a Saturday lunchtime for a large booking of 14 people. The food and service was fantastic. We had pre ordered the food and they all came out at the same time. Our waitress was brilliant at attending to us, with drinks and ensuring all was ok. Will definitely be back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have private dining options?

We can comfortably seat up to 21 guests in the back bar for a meal. Any more than that and you’ll be on each other’s laps (and that’s not ideal.)

Can I book for drinks & nibbles parties?

Absolutely. We can host up to 30 for casual drinks and light bites in the back bar. Or you can book a spot in the garden. There’s a bar (and wood-fired pizza oven too) so your guests can head to the bar for a perfectly poured pint.

Can I book a birthday meal?

Yes, our pretty restaurant area (with floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors) is spot-on for hosting a meal. Tables up to 10 people can sit together for a scrumptious celebratory lunch or dinner.

Is there parking at The Bull?

Yes there is. We have around 30 spaces at the pub and there is also the Ditchling Village Hall free car park opposite the pub. There is a larger car park a short walk away too.

Do you have bedrooms?

Oh yes. Six comfortable, country-style bedrooms with wonky walls, oak beams, modern bathrooms, and all the mod-cons too.
